Viewing Grant Proposal: Prism Power Partners-Manitou Farms Energy Storage and Solar

The Manitou Farms ESS project is a proposed battery energy storage installation collocated with the Manitou Farms solar project which has been operating since October 2024. The Manitou Farms solar project is a 190.32kW DC (150kW AC) solar project located in Benzonia, MI. Owned by an affiliate of Prism Power Partners, the project serves as a demonstration of solar and land use best practices with the goal of providing an example of design best practices. This unique solar project incorporates microinverters, terrain following trackers, and US manufactured bifacial solar modules. The Manitou Farms ESS project will expand upon this showcase project by being one of the first hybrid solar + storage projects in Michigan to perform utility scale grid resiliency services.
