Viewing Grant Proposal: Bad Axe Renewable Biofuels-Anaerobic Digester

The Bad Axe Renewable Biofuels Project will construct a covered lagoon anaerobic digester at Bad Axe Dairy to capture methane emissions from dairy manure and convert it into renewable natural gas (RNG) or Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The upgraded RNG will be either injected into the Consumers Energy pipeline or converted to SAF, supporting decarbonization, environmental justice, and rural economic development. The project aligns with the MI Healthy Climate Plan by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing sustainable manure management.
