Viewing Grant Proposal: Glen Oaks Co-op-Townhomes and Community Center Solar

Grant funds to be leveraged to initiate and complete two solarize projects at Glen Oaks Cooperative in Superior Township, Ml (48198). FIRST, $26,175 in grant funds are sought to cover 50% of the cost to add solar and back-up Resiliency Hub batteries to the newly constructed ALL ELECTRIC Community Center at Glen Oaks; and SECOND, $72,160 in grant funds are sought to complete at very-affordable Bid Price of experienced contractor (Homeland Solar), roof-mounted, grid-tied PV on ten (10) low-income, member-owned townhouses (each already with a new roof). In-process, this work will inspire similar, future solar and other energy improvements (including appliance electrification) at the other low income co-op townhouses in the Glen Oaks community. This will be both by example of completed work AND creation of a Revolving Fund at the Co-op for upgrades and improvements.
