Viewing Grant Proposal: City of Detroit-Solar and Battery Storage at Adams Butzel Rec Center

The City of Detroit Office of Sustainability will install solar panels and battery storage at Adams Butzel Recreation Center, ensuring continued operations during outages. As a key community hub, it will serve as a resilience site while lowering energy costs. This project builds on Detroit’s Climate Strategy and the city’s first resilience hub at A.B. Ford Recreation Center. EcoWorks, the project manager, brings expertise from co-developing Detroit’s Solar Toolkit and advising the Neighborhood Solar Initiative.
